The way I see it: Lifestyle Design
There has been some discussion in the community lately as to what Lifestyle Design really means. Corbett declared it already dead, while others furiously claimed it still very lively.
The term Lifestyle Design was first coined by Tim Ferriss in his book, the 4-Hour Work Week, which is also the way I discovered it a few weeks ago. He defined it as working as little as possible, while doing what you´re passionate about, whether that be travelling the world or raising your kids. This often involves a passive income.
For me, it means designing my lifestyle conciously. I think about what I want to do with my life, and if that would mean living the conventional way: working regular hours at a company, coming home to a dog, the boyfriend and later maybe kids, then fine. As long as that is actually a decision thought through. As long as I´m not doing it because that is just the way it´s supposed to go.
So for me, it´s not about being unconventional. I don´t care about being different. All I want is to be happy. Lifestyle Design is living life wide awake, aware of all the possibilities and being able to choose the ones that fit me best, living life to the fullest.

I appreciate your insight that there is no template for lifedesign, or however we whish to call the creation of the life we want to live.
And nothing wrong with working, even long hours, if our work is our true passion in alignment with our higher self and our consciously chosen value system…

I don´t care much for definitions in general, really. It´s all just semantics after all
Living, not existing, might be a good definition as well. But there are hundreds, and it is just reality that lifestyle design doesn´t mean the same for everybody. Why pretend like it should and then declare it dead?
